The mission of the Galveston Arts Center is to promote the visual arts by presenting exhibitions, developing educational programs, and providing an environment for creative expression.

Funding for programs is provided by the Texas Commission on the Arts, Galveston Hotel/Motel tax funds, foundations, corporations, generous community support and an active membership.
